Favorite Moisturizer: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Review

Baru 1-2 tahun belakangan aku mencoba untuk rutin memakai skincare sehari-hari. Sebelumnya, aku cuma suka pakai essence atau serum aja, tapi aku sekarang lebih memperhatikan skincare routineku dan menambah beberapa step seperti toner, pelembab, sunscreen, dan krim malam. Nah, kali ini aku mau sharing tentang pelembab yang aku pakai (dan aku suka!) beberapa bulan belakangan ini, yaitu Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel!

Its been 1-2 years that I tried to use the skincare routine everyday. I only liked to use serum or essence before, but now I gave more attention to my skincare routine and added few steps such as toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, and night cream. Now I want to share about the moisturizer that I already used (and I loved!) for a couple months, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel!

Pertama aku beli produk ini karena aku cari pelembab yang berbahan dasar air dan teksturnya gel. Pas banget, aku sering lihat produk ini di 711 dan akhirnya aku cobain travel sizenya untuk tau cocok atau enggak.

The first time I bought this product was because I was looking for water-based moisturizer with gel-like texture. I saw this product regularly in 711 store and I finally decided to try the travel size to find out if it’s good or not.

Menurut labelnya, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan kulit untuk menyimpan air secara terus menerus dan secara efektif mengunci kelembaban yang berlimpah di lapisan dalam kulit sepanjang hari. Produk ini sudah di tes oleh dermatologis, bebas minyak, dan non-komedogenik.

According to the label of the product, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel was proven to continuously boost skin’s water retention ability and effectively lock in abundant hydration deep within your skin throughout the day. Its dermatologist tested, oil free, and non-comedogenic.

Packaging

Packaging Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel ini berbentuk jar, agak bulky dan materialnya dari kaca. Ini yang kurang aku suka dari produk ini, karena nggak travel friendly dan takut pecah kalau dibawa-bawa. Kurang higienis juga karena bentuknya jar, jadi biasanya aku tuang ke tempat yang kecil supaya nggak setiap hari buka-tutup produk yang besarnya. Oh iya, untuk size yang besar, di dalamnya ada tutup keduanya untuk menjaga produknya.

The packaging of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is in the form of jar, little bit bulky and the material is from glass. This is the thing that I don’t really like from this product, because it’s not travel friendly and I’m afraid to break it when I carry it around. It’s also less hygienic because of the jar, so I usually pour it into smaller pot so I don’t keep opening the big pot. Oh, for the big size, inside you will find the second cap to keep the product.

Texture

Isi Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel ini berwarna biru muda. Tekstur produk ini super sesuai sama yang aku inginkan. Teksturnya gel dan tidak lengket. Salah satu yang aku buat aku bertahan pakai produk ini karena aku suka banget sama teksturnya.

Content of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is sky blue. The texture was just like what I wanted. The texture is gel and non sticky. One thing that made me keep using this product is because I really like the texture.

Nah ini gambar setelah produknya dioleskan dan diratakan di tanganku. Saat dibaurkan ke kulit, produknya tidak berwarna dan tidak meninggalkan white cast. Produknya juga langsung meresap dan membuat kulit jadi plump-like.

These are the pictures after I applied and blended the product in my hand. When blending into the skin, the product was transparent and didn’t leave white cast. The product was also easy to absorb and made the skin to be plump-like.

Kulitku memang sensitif dan gampang banget jerawatan, selama ini jerawat selalu datang dan pergi. Tapi aku bertekad kalau aku ingin kulitku sehat. Setelah nonton berbagai video tentang skincare, aku jadi tau untuk punya kulit yang sehat kuncinya adalah kulit yang terhidrasi dengan baik. Kulitku juga berminyak, tapi kadang di beberapa bagian bisa kering sampai kelupas seperti di dekat bibir, dekat hidung dan diantara alis.

I have sensitive skin and it’s so easy for me to get pimple, all this time it always come and go. But I determined that I wanted a healthy skin. After watching many skincare videos, I knew that in order to have a healthy skin, the key is well-hydrated skin. My skin is also oily, but in some parts was dry and even cracking like near my lips, near my nose, and between the eyebrow.

Aku sudah pakai produk ini sekitar tujuh bulan. Sejauh ini sih produk ini berfungsi dengan baik di aku.  Sekarang kulitku nggak pernah kelupas lagi. Lebih terasa plumpy dan jauh lebih sehat dibandingkan dulu sebelum aku rutin pakai pelembab. Aku bahkan sudah repurchase untuk full sizenya. Aku mau banget pakai produk ini terus, tapi harganya memang agak mahal untuk standar skincareku, apalagi di Indonesia kayaknya lebih susah dan mahal untuk beli produk ini.

I’ve been using this product for seven months now. So far, this product works great to me. Now my skin is never crack again. Its more plumpy and far healthier compared to the time before I didn’t use moisturizer. I even repurchased the full size product. I really want to keep using this product, but the price is a little bit over my price range and I think in Indonesia it’s more difficult and more expensive to buy this product.
